This incoming cover was redirected to Camp 1, Cabanatuan and recd 4 Oct 44 (13 months in transit). PFC Gordan was one of the POWs liberated by the 6th Army Ranger Batt on 1/30/44.

Philippine POW Camp #10A, Palawan to Antioch, Ca fwd Oakland 1943. William Brown, PFC U.A. Army Air Corp. PFC Brown was killed 12/14/44 what was later described as the Palawan Massacre. Upon notification of pending U.S. Invasion, the Japanese guards herded all POWs into an underground bunker, pour fuel into the bunker and set it on fire. Less than 6 men survived.
